Teens Class – Hi Art School

Calling all creative budding artists who are eager to express themselves creatively AND have an incredible amount of fun in the process.

If you are a teen who is passionate about art, creativity, and self-expression, this art class is a perfect fit for you! In this small-sized, personalized art class, teens will learn artistic techniques in painting, drawing and mixed-media art while developing their own unique artistic style. With attention from a professional art educator in our non-judgmental, encouraging art studio, students will create artwork with materials including graphite drawing, pastels, watercolors, collage, and painting on canvas. While experimenting with a wide range of subject matter including portraits, figures, abstraction, art journaling, landscapes and more, artists will discover what inspires them most. While practicing new and exciting artistic techniques, including 3D effect, shading, proportions, composition, palette knife texture, blending and personal expression, each artist will create artwork that releases the artist within.

In this engaging and nurturing Hi Art art class, teens will:

Experiment with a variety of art materials while creating personalized drawings, paintings, and mixed-media artworks

Practice, learn and deepen drawing techniques including line, shading, scale, perspective, dimension, contrast, value scales, and composition
Practice and learn new watercolor and acrylic painting techniques including color mixing, paint application, gradated washes, texture, layering, composition, brushwork, and more

Explore new artistic techniques through a variety of art materials, and create many pieces of art to hang at home!

ART MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL PORTFOLIO PREPARATION

Hi Art middle and high school preparation class provides program for portfolio and audition. students will learn essential skills and techniques in drawing, painting and sculpture. Students will be encouraged to produce more complex works of art as they develop their work from sketch to final piece. Together, teachers and students prepare for the art school audition and the creative development of an outstanding portfolio.

Digital art is an incredibly exciting field of study for those who wish to pursue creativity and technology together. In our digital art classes, students will be exposed to innovative software programs that allow them to express their artistic vision with ease – producing stunning 2D and 3D images, creating appealing character designs, or developing GIFs that capture the eye. As each class progresses, new skills are honed that improve the student’s artistic abilities while also teaching them important techniques around software usage. If you are interested in illustration, character design, or entertainment art, but not sure where to start, this is the course for you.

This course aims to teach students the fundamentals of digital art. Students will learn how to transform 2D drawings into 3D digital paintings and have the creative freedom to explore and generate ideas! Essential hands-on activities include basic lighting studies, introduction to colour theory, various digital painting techniques, understanding perspective drawing and composition.

Designed to be flexible and accommodating to students of all backgrounds, this program offers a unique opportunity to build your art portfolio or gain valuable experience in the world of art. With personalized 1:1 care, our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of the process, ensuring your portfolio reflects your skills and interests.

This group class is a great opportunity for the students who are going to use their summer time and prepare the fundamental skills for developing their art portfolio. Drawing, painting and sketching techniques are taught in this class to prepare the students for the next step of portfolio development. The instructor of the class set different projects for the students based on the admission requirements of their target schools, colleges or universities. The students will receive regular tips and feedback from our experienced instructors to improve their art skills.

Art can help build students self-esteem and confidence and at the same time, allowing them to find their individual voice. Art and creative, expressive freedom is something that each and every person is capable of. To not at least create some art is to not fully embrace your internal capabilities.
